Welcome to Peek-a-Boo Speech! My name is Vanessa Talbott and I am a licensed early intervention speech-language pathologist in Northern Virginia. My primary experience is both conducting speech and language assessments and providing treatment to families and their children.
I am passionate about finding ways to help promote communication skills in the early intervention population and sharing strategies through a parent coaching model to empower parents to maximize their child’s potential. I believe in a holistic approach to building communication skills based on how vocabulary develops that incorporates a dashboard of choices including but not limited to sign language, movement, music, picture supports and imitation strategies. My approach is built on a review of evidenced based practice and most importantly is fun and engaging which is how children learn (adults too!).
